      Consultants need to be treated well and listened to. Put people over profit.

      Pros

      Trained in 2012 and training in SQL and Unix were very good. These skills are still valuable to me now ISTQB certificate If you're lucky, you'll be placed in a great company with great people

      Cons

      Feel more of an asset than an employee No say in where you want to work whether that be industry or location Recently, people have not been placed in roles they applied for. PMs and BAs have been placed in Test roles Many consultants are unhappy No trust between sales people, managers and consultants

Even though location preferences for placement are taken into consideration, we have clients throughout the UK and where you may be based is not determined by us; it is determined by the client and the assignment. Being geographically flexible is a requirement to join FDM as you know and is re-iterated throughout the recruitment process. We appreciate that the FDM Careers Programme is not for everyone, which is why we are fully transparent about the importance of flexibility in roles and location.       Hard Working, Accommodating, Friendly, and Challenging!

      Pros

      A very professional environment that is focused on fostering growth and sharpening skills. Upon arriving, one immediately notices the hard-working professionals running in and out of the floor. Although the staff are very friendly and accommodating, they made sure everyone in that office adheres to the company's culture and disciplines. The courses are challenging only because you are required to learn them in a very short period of time. If you don't have a background in these subjects, you will find yourself struggling. So having the ability to adapt is a must.

      Cons

      There are enough trainers in that building, but very few (1 or 2) do not seem passionate nor are truly concerned about the well-being of the trainees. However, the management team does seem more inspiring and empathetic. Not here long enough to make more judgments yet. But will provide them if and when they arise.

      Pros

      Regular working hours. Very friendly colleagues and relaxed working atmosphere. Nice office in convenient location.

      Cons

      Annual holiday not very long. Not possible to work from home. Internet connection is poor.
