Bring back the old Flowserve.

Pros

Pay is good as long as you're on the managers good side. Unlimited overtime and weekends to work if you need money.

Cons

Give 100%, they expect 110%. Give 110%, they expect 120%. No regard to your personal life, they don't care. All they want is for you to be a robot and obey their command, don't expect any recognition, or anything in return. Our shop did record numbers and we got a 10 cent raise and hardly a bonus. While the managers (if you want to call them that) got their annual 30-50k bonus Insurance sorta sucks.

The demand for oil and gas movement solutions is strong and will continue to be strong for the foreseeable future. This means Flowserve has a good outlook.

Cons

There is some bureaucracy and dysfunction. To quote a phrase "Well-functioning companies are all alike, dysfunctional companies are dysfunctional in their own way."

Pros

The people do their best to make the products. Salaries are quite high (if money is the one thing which satisfies you). Because I lived nearby (as much people do) travel times are low which can help with work-life balance (if you are not requested to work overtime, however if projects are going wrong overtime will be high)

Cons

The management is not able to provide real direction and guidance. There is a lot of uncertainty and politics (on all levels).
