      Pros

      Flowserve is great at promoting from within. Jobs are posted internally and existing employees given preference, so there are great opportunities. My manager even encouraged many of his charges to leave to bigger and better things.

      Cons

      Repetitive work at the bottom of the ladder. Also the company is quite arrogant about it's own superiority in the market, whether justified or not.

      Pros

      Flowserve is well known among the OEM Industry and particularly likes to keep employees around for 20 plus years.

      Cons

      A career path is initially discussed during the hire process but never talked about afterwards. The employees in this organization are typically either extremely hard-working and motivated or complete opposite, doing what it takes to get by and letting others pick up the slack. The company claims they are about ethics, however as an employee who got laid off, I feel differently. Flowserve keeps laying off more and more individuals, even top performing employees.
