It's a scam

Pros

Love the company motto. Everyone I worked with line-level was so kind.

Cons

Managers treat you like garbage, at least at the Surfside location. You are not valued and are constantly chided for your mistakes but not celebrated for your wins.

Horrible Experience

Pros

Competitive pay. Quality medical benefits.

Cons

Unfair treatment from managers and team leaders. A disorganized way of running the department , not expected from a business that claims to “Live by the Golden Rule”. I experienced harassment from the spa staff and witnessed others who suffered workplace bullying as well.

Pros

Great Benefits as a server in a restaurant which is unheard of. Brand attracts high net worth individuals so tips are generally good. Comp nights are an incredible benefit, but you really have to be on it to actually use them (few nights available, taken up as soon as they are posted)

Cons

Management is hilariously bad. May have just been my hotel, but I don't think it is. Company philosophy is to hire newly minted hospitality undergraduates and "mold" them to the company culture. Result is 22 year old kids "managing" 20+ year industry professionals, results are pretty much what you would expect. Lots of ladder climbing types so there was very little consistency in managers, they hop from property to property looking for the next rung. The money in the restaurant made it tolerable, but it was extremely unfun at times. Prepare to work most holidays as well, but the money is generally good on those days (for the tipped employees)
