Pros

Money is good when it’s not being stolen.

Cons

Allow me to begin by saying that I have worked at numerous hotels, but this one is undoubtedly among the worst managed establishments. The front drive, in particular, is an extremely toxic department. The combination of poor management and the daily theft of tips makes it a nightmare to work in. Despite raising these issues with my direct supervisors and HR, no action has been taken. Employees who openly steal tips and provide subpar service remain without any consequences. The scheduling is chaotic, the pay is insufficient, the hours are long, and the level of disrespect among some staff members is unacceptable. You would be much better off seeking employment elsewhere. Spare yourself the trouble and avoid applying here.

Pros

Decent pay if you are a manger. Since each Four Seasons is its own entity with its own benefits packages, please note that this is only for FS Minneapolis. We get a good number of holidays and vacation days. Full time members get free healthcare. 80 Sick time Meet a lot of people Travel discount stays at other FS Free employee lunch

Cons

Not liked/kissing butt= Not employed anymore Not a manager? You do not get the huge yearly bonus Not a manger? No quarterly manager monthly toasts Not all managers are compensated equally (Ex. A manager in a smaller department may make around 85K including the bonus but directors of a bigger departments may make around 88K including bonus) Manager of certain departments like rooms and front desk may be called in on weekends while more corporate sides are usually within business hours Some hourly employees may be severely underpaid and assistant directors and directors. Some assistant directors' salaries compared to their director may say make 50k less. MUST WEAR FAKE FACE AT ALL TIMES. Never know who is there to climb the ladder and when HR will call you in. The retaliation here is unbelievable. Multiple demotions for people speaking up. Also multiple promotions between departments for those liked. A lesson that I have learned here is to zip it and say yes with a smile. If you are good at pleasing others and complimenting others on every decision, you will probably be able to rise through the ranks here easily. If you are kind spirited and do not have a mask, you will need to only say positive things and DO NOT question anything. You may also do well here is you have a mellow personality and do not care about the corporates politics taking place around you. If you come here to clock in and clock out for a pay check, then you will be tolerated.
