      Very high belief and alignment on GSK values esp. patient focus Compensation - pay not commensurate to work but higher Very internal looking organisation from growth and improvement standpoint

      Cons

      Bureaucratic Slow / Poor execution capability / Poor decision making capability Operating as NGO/Social organisation and not as business Standards not commensurate to market or patient requirement Global decisions/directions rolled across all markets Poor project execution capability - Bangalore new factory would be a marvel in creation (Making Taj Mahal and not a factory) Contract Workforce esp. in UK, US are like leech sucking value from the organisation Frequent organisational changes without complete assessment of impact Racist

      GSK does not invest in inside sales reps

      Pros

      Good pay for entry level job but below industry standard. Ample vacation and personal time. 401K and benefits! Very talented and smart colleagues. Ability to work from home.

      Cons

      -Inexperienced managers (no sales experience in sales!) -micro managers -lack of trust and respect for employees from managers -favoritism to tenured employees who lack skills and abilities that are expected for new employees -lack of communication between managers -managers that are not leaders and are only concerned with self agenda or career path -no true promotions (i.e. a position opens, anyone can apply) -ability to work from home but rarely granted on request -major pay differences between team members but everyone shares same responsibilities and more is expected from new team members -tenured people are not properly trained in selling ways and can not provide guidance or direction
