      Google hiring is the most ridiculous process ever - Its a joke! they make you go through 3 months of crazy interviews with dumb questions. You keep your life on hold for things to pan out. Next they will downlevel you even if you do really well in interviews cus they want to low ball you! Interviewers dont want to see anyone joining from a non FAANG company at a higher level they joined! Once you are past these stages and are at the finishing line - You are told that the position is eliminated! You make things more complicated then they should be and exploit job seekers. Take this somewhere else - Pathetic!

      Not what I had expected as a contractor

      -big company with a lot of freedom to do your work however you want to -free, tasty meals throughout the day -nice offices with enough breakout areas

      -2 class system with divide between Googlers and contractors -lots of fakeness from a lot of employees. Many people pretend to be happy go lucky and caring people to impress their superiors but once they are out of sight they show their true colours -Googlers will categorically ignore you and spend less time with you if you are a contractor -Zero job security. I was made redundant before the end of my contract -I am disappointed with the level of intelligence in many employees. A lot of them are very average but will try to talk down on you for no reason -Not much diversity especially in leadership roles -No proper onboarding for contractors. There is chaos when you first start and you are expected to figure it out on your own. This leads to a lot of inefficiency and time loss -No proper access for contractors for internal tools and resources. We are unable to do our work in a time efficient way, so many obstacles in getting access to internal documentation.
