      It’s all about the franchisee

      Pros

      Guaranteed pay Built in clientele Trainings You don’t have to do color Clip notes! When you get those clients who can’t explain what they want these come in handy!

      Cons

      Stucture and policies change based on the franchisee, some even implement policies that are against corporate standards. You have to be very flexible with your schedule and some salons only post one week out so you can’t make plans for life. Pay is typically around tipped employee min wage and you may not be tipped well depending on your area.

      Pros

      I have been in the industry for 15 years and Great Clips is like anything I have ever been a part of. It’s a family atmosphere. Everyone works together to succeed. The training is phenomenal. They are always bringing in educators and seminars to help us grow, plus our managers work with us one on one on both technical and business skills. The money is amazing. Not only is a great guaranteed base wage, but you get so many tips. Seeing more clients an hour results in helping more people and making a tremendous income. We get all of our tips daily including credit card tips. The company pays weekly, as they say that is a benefit and I really like it Instead of every 2 weeks. They put so much thought into caring for employees and making sure we have everything we need to succceed. They reward great performance. I could not be happier.

      Cons

      Right now the owners only have 1 salon but are growing. With that growth comes more opportunities to get better.

      Flexible schedule and no late nights

      Cons

      Pay is low, and you have to perform so many cuts an hour . you work your butt off and make such a Small percentage of what you're making the company.
