Pros

I enjoyed working at Great Clips. Tips were great. The team was like a big family and I enjoyed going to work every day.

Cons

They expected you to stay past your schedule if they were busy. I was also expected to work longer shifts, and work on my days off if they were under staffed.

Great Clips is a franchised company and each salon is independently owned and operated by a franchisee. Franchisees and managers work hard to staff the salon for the busiest customer traffic while taking into account a work/life balance. If you would like follow up, you can email Jeanne@greatclips.com with the salon location where you were employed & details. We will forward it to the franchisee for you. Thank you.

Pros

could have flex hours depending on the need of business. Hourly pay is not great but tips can compensate for the low wages

Cons

When the customer count is down, the management can send you home way before your schedule finishing time

Pros

Hair cutting salon, no colors, no waxing, depends on salon you may or may not do perms. Your always walking out with tips in your pocket and you can easily build your request clients and productivity to make your paycheck bigger. Theirs always new classes you can sign up, or asking for a senior stylist to teach you new skills.

Cons

Timed haircuts, the business is a fast food hair cutting joint if you can get more people in and out you get a bigger check and better numbers. Sour customers your always going to get sour customers that will insult you or another employee. Sometimes you will have to have people leave the store for being rude to clients, stylist, threatening people ext.

Thank you for your feedback. Since each salon is independently owned and operated, the best person to address your comments would be your franchisee. If you'd like, you can email Jeanne@greatclips.com with the salon location where you are employed & details. We will be happy to forward it to your franchisee for follow up with you. Thanks for everything you do in the salon each day.
