Pros

Their are no pros maybe 1 u get 50% off hair products

Cons

Low paying don't like stylist to have repeat customers that's a big no no if people want u to do their hair because your good at it they will fire u the owners suck and should stay out of the shops horrible horrible horrible place to work

Great for haircutting

Pros

This is a select service business. Hair cutting is the main focus. I don't mind that since perms are stinky and colors can be stressful. Clients are provided and it is a team atmosphere. It is a franchised business, so each franchisee does things differently. The main focus is quality haircuts at a great price in a timely manner. Training is provided with continuing education as well. Schedules can be flexible if needed.

Cons

Low base pay, but if you work efficiently you can increase your base rate. Shops are open 7 days a week with evenings being as late as 9 pm during the week. Which unfortunately can effect your pay if the location isn't busy during that last hour. There can be a high turnover of employees. The work is constant and this can drive some stylists away. Being timed on services provided and time taken in between clients can drive employees away as well.

Pros

Great Clips is in a unique position to foster a cooperative (rather than competitive) environment that celebrates everyone's successes. It is an environment where people can have flexible schedules and still make a great income with incredible benefits. The organization truly tries to foster career growth and individual creativity. It is an all-around win-win.

Cons

Great Clips has created a culture of setting high-expectations and using various tools to measure and develop people to reach those expectations. While this one of the organization's strengths, it does scare some people and certainly means everyone is expected to strive to be their best.
