Pros

the one good reason to work at great clips is that you do not have to spend a lot on nice clothes. the dressed down the better. everyone looks poor that works there. all in black

Cons

everyone has to do haircuts in 11 minutes!! 11 minutes is not long enough to do quality so they want quantity but most clients have to return and get the awful haircut fixed. I think they should let the required haircut time be longer then they would maybe get stylists that know how to do a quality cut not just work in a chop shop. I am actually surprised anyone ever returns for a second cut, which is not that often

Pros

Become immensely well versed with cutting hair really quickly, training, and simple in and out kind of job

Cons

It becomes exhausting. You go in, cut hair, and go home. It doesn't really foster creativity and after a year or two, has led me to want to leave the field all together.
