This franchise is not respected in the community compared to other franchises. Ten hour shifts in some cases which is hard on the body. 14 - 17 average haircut times if you like that. Better to do 2 haircuts an hour and build a customer base. Not all Great Clips offer productivity or commission pay or benefits to all if its employees. Ask questions before taking a job. If they are not worth giving a notice to when you quit, then they are not worth working for.

Highly stressful work days. Paid by the hour to do 2.5 haircuts per-hour to make company quota. That’s each client in and out your chair with a timed haircut of 13-15 minutes, and selling them product out the door. They seem under staffed all the time and don’t put enough people on the floor during busy weekends, puting more stress under employees. Two people on a busy day not allowing for lunches or being able to go to a bank to cash in change. There’s a lot of company policy’s and dress codes and employee rules. It’s above minimum wage, however I can go up the street and make four dollars more an hour at McDonald’s without a diploma. This is a state license required job that we have to pay to go to school for. I am extremely disappointed in this company in particular, you would think for a state license required job in a multi million dollar corporation that runs nationwide would pay they’re employees just a little more and have more people on hand to accommodate less stressful busy times.
