Pros

If you work at a busy location you will make a decent wage due to tips.

Cons

I have worked at the same location for a year and 3 months and the prices have increased three times. Say a haircut is $14 typically a client will round that up to $20 and tip you $6. With each price increase, the owner makes more money but you make less in tips. Taking this into consideration I have now taken three pay cuts since starting there.

Micromanaging every moment of your day. Unrealistic expectations. Straight up illegal practices as corporate policy.

Pros

The nice folks who regularly come in and understand the covid precautions and staffing issues, behave in a respectful way and leave a nice tip.

Cons

The bad, violent customers who arrive with an agenda to create havoc. The screaming people who think wait times are not for them. The parents who verbally abuse staff in front of their kids. The sense of entitlement and despicable behavior of a growing number of customers that has, on occasion caused a 911 call. Great Clips stylists are often young and customers feel they can bully these human beings who are working so hard and just trying to earn a living.
