      Sometimes tips were okay. Customers were decent.

      Cons

      Management was awful. She was incompetent. If you like clique based work and favoritism then this is the place for you.

      The pay is pretty good for a stylist who is new to town or hasn't yet built a clientele.

      The management could care less about you as a person.

      Good Pay but buyer beware

      Pros

      Pay was decent, with tips I averaged $23 an hour and my states minimum wage is $7.30. Clients were wonderful.

      Cons

      Great clips is a franchise. Our owner needed to be more aware of what was going on in the salons. Area managers were not replacing stylists that left which made the stress for remaining stylists unbearable. I suspect they did this to make their numbers look great so they earned a bigger quarterly bonus. Very sad. Also, problem stylists were never dealt with properly. They should have been shown the door for their behavior but they are never fired which affected our salons reputation.
