      A company with mix both strong positives and negatives

      Pros

      HCL provides Account Managers with a lot of freedom and autonomy. There is a lot of scope for new learning. Very aggressive sales organization.

      Cons

      In HCL it is difficult to maintain work life balance. Occasionally, it is very difficult to see clear vision and strategy emanating at Senior Management level.

      Pros

      If you are the kind of person who doesn't lay down deep roots, the opportunity for advancement at HCL is very great. Their health benefits are excellent, and most of the management offshore is competent to excellent. They are also very good, for the most part, about allowing people to work creative schedules, as long as the contract obligation gets fulfilled.

      Cons

      HCL does not provide a competetive amount of time off per year, and they continue to divide sick days from accrued vacation. Also, if you have a family, a house and a dog, HCL may not be the company for you because HCL is a company that reacts swiftly to changes in a contract environment, and people may find themselves moved to a contact on the other side of the country, or even in a completely different country with very little notice.

      Pros

      Very Safe to be in this company. The culture is very open and they encourage everyone to talk with the senior management and create events for this. Opportunities are available for those who consistently perform. What you see is what you get, no more and no less.

      Cons

      Internal politics. Very slow in taking decisions at the business levels although corporate decisions are made and executed swiftly.
