Pros

HarperCollins Children's Books has an incredibly rich history, and publishes some of the classics of children's literature.

Cons

The division sometimes feels like it functions as a machine--feels like you're just a cog there to get a job done--though that seems to be slowly changing for the better.

Pros

great place to work if you love books; a nice bunch of people as well; you are thrown into the deep end right at the beginning, which means you get to learn a lot; leave policies and benefits are decent

Cons

the pay is not competitive; the marketing budgets are shoestring, to say the least; no training given to employees for upgradation of skills; more systems need to be in place so that things are not last-minute

Pros

Every position has a purpose and the company has a good structure. There is the possibility for advancement within the company.

Cons

Upper management sometimes is not aware of what the workers do in a day to accomplish all that they do. The workers put in a good days work and sometimes work overtime to get the job done.
