Pros

Honeywell always has many positions available within the company, in dozens of locations. You can choose what you want to do and where you'd like to do it if you are motivated and willing to put in some time for improvement projects.

Cons

Recognition, both verbal and monetary, increases greatly as you work up through the chain of command. High level management receives lots of training and bonuses for directing a workforce that doesn't see the same recognition.

Pros

Large company. Plenty of opportunities to move around (if you don't like your current job or co-workers you can generally apply internally for other positions in 18-24 months. Benefits are generally pretty good.

Cons

Pay was generally below market, especially for those that had been there for a couple of years. As a large organization they were very rigid with rules about raises/promotions. They left no decision making ability with the local managers about pay/promotion issues.

Pros

Honeywell provides it's employees with a great benefits package, including health, dental, and a vision plan. They also match 50% of 401(k) contributions, which changes to 100% after 5 years. Honeywell provides regularly scheduled reviews, which help you know where you are standing within your department, and how you can improve. While I mention it as a downside as well, due to Honeywell's size, there are many, many opportunities for advancements and career path changes. You have the opportunity to do pretty much any job role you want, if you work hard enough.

Cons

Honeywell is a massive company, and it can be frustrating to accomplish seemingly simple tasks due to the trail of red tape and procedures that need to be followed. There can also disparity between treatment for different band level employees.
