Pros

Hyatt has a great benefit package and there are many opportunities to advance your career. With hotel locations around the United States and other areas of the world it is likely you will find a career opportunity that is a great fit. Hyatt hotels are generally very nice properties and this makes for a comfortable and safe work environment. In addition, employees are given 12 complimentary room nights per year so the opportunity to travel and stay at some very nice hotels is made much more affordable thanks to this benefit.

Cons

Although there are a lot of opportunities for advancement, many times this involves relocating.

Pros

Good company with a good product. Opportunities for advancement within a couple of years, just be prepared to move around the country to do it. If you are a regular employee, you don't have much opportunity for advancement unless you want to move out of state.

Cons

They say they care about their employees, but they really don't. Managers are trained well enough to give their employees feedback or proper training. You need to fight to get a day off and justify that you were really on your "death bed" if you called in sick...

Pros

Hyatt has great opportunities for growth and movement, as well as opportunities to stay in lovely properties for free. 12 nights (with some restrictions) per year are allotted as free per employee as a standard at most properties, and the ability to move up is abundant if you work your @ss off.

Cons

The Hyatt corporation is becoming a very high profile name in the industry by finally advertising, and standardizing training from property to property. Most management positions are dependent on a heavy workload and way too much to do in an 8 hour day if progress or growth is expected. And of course, it is.
