Pros
- good holiday entitlement that grows the longer you spend there
- managers who are understanding about commitments outside work etc and not too demanding
- very flexible work day. can come in at 10 or 11.
- managers leave you to get on with your work without micromanaging.
- some great tech people, who can be very inspriing to work with
- good tech talks (occasionally) and other visiting talkers who are usually interesting
- many opportunities for training, which management are supportive of. courses available in both technical (programming languages, etc) and non-technical disciplines (British Sign Language, presentation skills etc).
Cons
- lack of benefits
- no free food (yes, a major problem!)
- not much communication with upper management
- more tech talks would be very nice
