Pros

- Lots of freedom to come up with ideas. You are listened to (company-wide). - Creating artwork/assets for fiction stories is a very creative and fun job. If you like fiction like me, the fun is doubled. This is a job-specific pro that only applies to working in Marketing in this company. - Flexible (at least more flexible than the average company): We have some remote workers, no micromanagement (at least that I know of), no check-ins and check-outs. There are core hours that have to be respected, of course, but your performance is usually measured more on results. - Before COVID, 1 remote work day per week. Now unlimited until after the pandemic is over, which is good because it shows the firm takes the situation very seriously. - Personal Coach with free fitness classes (Yoga, Cardio, Weight Training, Pilates...). Not really a benefit for people who have their own workout schedules or don't like sports, but this is a great pro for some. Online sport classes during a pandemic. - Unlimited budget for self-dev books. - Young and creative vibe in the whole company. You make friends here easily. - Lots of fun company events (not during COVID). - Lots of healthy food in the kitchen. Paid dinners. (Neither during COVID, and I am sure both will return post-COVID). - Clear and transparent performance reviews, which can lead to further career advancement and salary increases. - The feeling that the company wants to take care of you as much as possible. From sports and food to delivering Vitamin D to everyone in winter. - Easy transition to remote in a pandemic.

Cons

- Extremely small self-dev budget per year, outside of books. Many of us (especially creative workers) would benefit from other forms of self-dev, like online courses, which usually cost more than self-dev books. - Due to too much work, there is barely any time to better your skills (self-dev), meaning if you want to get better at your job, you're going to have to do it in your free time. - Vacation days are the legal minimum. - Change is necessary and good. But we change things too often. We need more systems and automation, as well as realistic goals that don't need to be changed when we realize they are impossible. This is important, because unrealistic goals create panic and stress, only to feel relieved at the end of the year when they say "it's fine, we're changing goals and metrics again". A roller-coaster of emotions, basically. - Understaffed, leading to people taking on too much work and igniting the spark of burn outs.

Hi there, Thank you very much for this great review. It is definitely great to see that you have been pleased with our leadership style and the benefits that we offer. We also appreciate that you took the time to point out some improvement areas for us. We have recently changed our vacation policy to an unlimited policy, where people can take holidays as much as they want, as long as they complete their projects in a timely manner and request the holiday in advance. We have also pushed our efforts to hire more people to alleviate the workload on certain team members, so that no one ends up burning themselves out. Similarly, as our team grows bigger, we have started to implement new systems and models of automation as well. Hopefully, you have been pleased with these changes in the meantime! Please rest assured that we will take your remarks into account and will propose a restructuring around the self development budget for the creative staff. Please feel free to reach your Talent Team if you have more feedback and suggestions, we would be thrilled to hear from you. Keep on rocking! Your Inkitt Team!
