No longer a good place to work.

Pros

Individual contributors are now given the option to work remotely full time.

Cons

They no longer care about their people. The president gave a talk at an all hands saying no layoffs, literally 2 work days later, was laid off. I don't think even my manager was told in advance, we were discussing things to do in the coming week before I got called into a meeting with the VP and summarily laid off. Later speaking with a friend, learned they'd not even told the rest of the employees any details about the layoff. Everyone is waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Pros

Good Caring Low Level Management

Cons

Be prepared to use your high starting wage to leverage a new job in 9 months to a year. New hires were told that they were being hired at higher wages then the current employees who were training them and to keep quiet about it. Other employees moved to different departments within the company and were told they were lateral moves with no pay increases(i.e. from customer support to QA). The HR department is not on the side of the employee and is out to only protect the company and shield it from unhappy employees. In technical support they are currently overstaffed stateside. This has resulted in low pay increases across the board for most employees facing 0% to 3% raises. Lower level management has their hands tied by upper level management when it comes to being able to make decisions for their teams and higher preforming employees. The best thing this company has going for it is the lower level management, they truly care and want to take care of their people. Above them it does not seem to be the case.

Not a great experience

Pros

- Good benefits including health insurance, a 401k match, and ESPP. - Decent amount of PTO and sick pay.

Cons

Lack of transparency and misleading leadership. ICE is in the business of acquisitions and they sell you on their culture being great. After a few months, you quickly learn that it's not great. Some of the leadership team are horrible leaders. Common themes throughout the leadership are micromanagement, lack of trust, unncessary procedures, and endless red tape.
