Pros

Good place to learn about finance if you are in a team that develops financial technolgy. Profitable company, Bonuses paid every year. Equity as well if you are senior enough.

Cons

Return to office 5 days a week is difficult for many people. I have an open position I need to hire for and teh recruiter tells me he is now having a hard time fining cndidates wanting to apply for a non hybrid position.

Pros

Company has some very good products and technology. Additional products and offerings are added frequently.

Cons

Pay disparity is massive between similar roles, just depends of when you got the role or what you were doing before. No effort to make changes to this even with good performance / years of service. Management pays no attention to how employees are treated or what can be done to improve the environment. Given token answers when challenging anything at all and nothing changes. People are placed in management positions who have no idea how to interact with people. HR department is comical.

Pros

Nearly everything—salary (especially for my position that’s technically entry-level) Bonus that is considered additional salary The friendliest people I have ever met Incredible benefits (supporting a family on my benefits being cheaper than my spouse's benefits by herself) Incredible 401K dollar-for-dollar match up to 6% Relaxed, low-stress, slower paced work environment Sexy industry and company working in FinTech and for a company that owns and operates the NYSE

Cons

The completely absurd and ridiculous 5-day/week RTO and eliminating any hybrid options. It’s an incredibly outdated and archaic philosophy and mindset. My brain cannot fathom nor process the ungodly amount of work and productivity time lost commuting to and from the office. It’s beyond stupid and selfish of the CEO to impose this without giving any consideration to employees with young kids at home who have a proven track record of success working remotely. This is a severe step backward, and I feel like it’s a major regression in time and progress. The outrage is far and wide, and I hope those in power take this seriously and work toward a compromise that checks their in-office box to give them their unnecessary tax breaks, but gives employees some trust and more time at home with their families and children.
