      Lots of opportunity, just be prepared to fight for it

      Pros

      The work and industry are both incredibly interesting and constantly evolving. The organization places a significant amount of investment in R&D and is constantly publishing research on the largest cybercrime operations in the world. There are some brilliant minds working for the company with lots of exciting things to work on. The work-life balance is great and the compensation and benefits are competitive. The company offers flexible work arrangements and a global organization means you'll be working with team members around the globe.

      Cons

      Be prepared for organizational politics - with a Russian twist. The organizational structure is poorly defined below the top levels of management and communication is sparse. The engineering department is slow to make decisions and resistant to feedback on issues and product direction.

      Kaspersky Lab has a beautiful campus that is an easy commute from Boston or the Boston metro area. The company works in collaborative teams, and everyone's ideas and contributions are valued. You can come in with a state college degree and go far. There are women on the tech teams, not just the marketing team. The marketing team is top-notch, we are using integrated marketing communications with the all the best equipment, to compete in a global market.

      Cons

      There is a lot of pressure to complete a lot of projects, and since we are always growing and innovating, sometimes the process by which we complete the projects changes right in the middle! The good part is that generally we don't work long, crazy hours. We do have some relief from the busy times, and we help each other get things done. This place has family-friendly hours generally speaking, it is almost like a finance job. You definitely learn and grow and feel very intelligent by the time you wrap it up!

      Company with world-known name, great corporate culture, good compensation pack, learning opportunities (foreign languages and professional courses), large-scale corporate holidays.

      Cons

      Salary growth is lower than rate of the inflation, lots of bureaucratic difficulties in promotion, almost no feedback from management.
