- Very strict HR and Administrative departments, they claim that they support people and provide great working conditions but it's often not so (in Moscow HQ people have been suffering for years from sun reflecting on their monitors and making it difficult to work at some hours, and nothing can be done, people are forced to invent make-shift screens; relax areas with couches have been eliminated almost everywhere due to overpopulation; there is never any free fruit or milk, only bad coffee)
- I've heard that pay for women is significantly lower than for men, also there are much more men in management positions (much fewer women in general of course, but seems like men are more readily considered for promotion), and pay in general is not very high
- They don't hold on to people, several years ago there was downsizing and some people I talked to were devastated and hurt because they were let go after working for many years and with no kind words, just something like "your work will be done by other people now, goodbye". Also the top management always says "Be thankful for working here, if you don't like something there are plenty other candidates"
- No 360 reviews of management, no modern communication tools
- Changes are adopted very slowly. Remote work was allowed only thanks to the pandemic
- Ridiculous handling of the pandemic, e.g. they announced that QR code (vaccinations) would be required to enter the office in future and demotivated a lot of people only for it to be cancelled shortly before the X date; also the hybrid mode seems poorly thought-through
- Some people get preferential treatment because they are partying and travelling with the owner or simply in more visible jobs
