Pros

I had some of the best coworkers of my life. It was the people who were there before the outsourcing that made this a great place to work.

Cons

The major outsourcing was devastating to such a massive collection of employees across all departments. People spent their entire career at KC banking on their retirement plans. Heart breaking to see good people’s lives suddenly turned upside down at 20, 30, 40, 50 years old. For years (perhaps decades), KC used be rated as top places to work including reasons like great benefits, work life balance, and virtually no turnover. People learned a hard reality lesson in company loyalty.

Pros

They have many different locations, so you can find one near where you want to live. They also offer a 9/80 schedule. It's super nice to get every other Friday off. You get to dress fairly casual, mainly khakis and polos.

Cons

The Everett location is not well organized. The engineers are overworked. Many of the operators seems unmotivated. It may depends on where you work in the mill, it a very large location. There is no cafeteria, however. There also is no common lunch room, so it's hard to connect with co-workers outside of your area of work.

Pros

Great benefits, career advancement, great pay Some departments have a family like atmosphere Many different paths one can take

Cons

Lots of hours for some positions, career path more so chosen by them not you Positions are being cut left and right, so you never know if you go to work that day if you could be next I have worked in two different positions with two different results - one was pretty great, the other one there was no respect from management and I got treated like garbage even though I consistently outperformed my peers
