Life insurance policies:
Even with the $10PH starting rate, the insurance policy premiums and costs are atrocious. They can range well beyond what employees make at the store.
Extreme favoritism:
I'm sure this isn't the case for every store, but it definitely factored into my experience with the company and it's the first time in the ten years I've worked retail that I am reporting extreme favoritism between employees.
Be prepared to take out trash and clean bathrooms daily, or even repetitively throughout the day if you're disliked. Also be prepared to be drilled for ridiculous things, like forgetting ONE suggestive sell in a ten hour period. If that's not bad enough, this company will write you up for the most random and ridiculous reasons, I've seen to date.
Lack of breaks!
This one is major: Even after pointing out that one 10 minute break per 10 hour shift is illegal and was told the company policy was to take a 10 minute break per every four hour shift: I was still stuck with only one break per shift.
Severe lack of gender diversity in management:
I have yet to see any female management positions with the company.
Positions here require you to really maintain at least four separate positions (you're basically getting paid to work as a cashier, janitor, trash collector and stocker).
