Expect to work

Pros

You meet nice people and they are flexible with schedules. However now that they are so short of help, you can expect to probably work more. It's a nice work environment and you feel like part of a team at your store. Mr. Zeitlow is a very nice, down to earth man who makes an effort to meet the employees by attending the year end meeting. He greets everyone at the door which is appreciated. The year end bonuses are nice and come at at good time.

Cons

Too many "competitions" for sales between stores. These "competitions" if won reward you with gift cards for KT. If you apply here, be prepared to work. It's a very busy job. The day flies by, but they expect a lot out of you. Also, they say you can move up, but if you aren't on the radar of the right person you will find it difficult. When our store needed a new assistant store leader, they didn't say anything to anyone at our store, and brought one in from somewhere else which I didn't think was fair. However they have now chosen someone from our store for another assistant store leader position.

Pros

Pay well, 401 & company contribution, year end bonus

Cons

Since Don, founder has stepped away, there is a complete change the values the company was founded on. They are more interested in making the buck than doing the right thing. They want to hold management accountable but allow co workers to be disrespectful, and follow company policies/ guide lines in order to show they have co workers that have been with the company for extended number of years. Complete lack of consideration for store leader's work/ life balance. Males also are more often given precedence over females.

Pros

40% profit sharing vertical integration help pay for uniforms

Cons

Always understaffed and expect long list of duties to be finished regardless of this. No matter how sick you are, they expect you to find your own replacement. After contacting everyone in your own store, you're expected to contact every area store as well. Has been 40+ contacts at times. Give hiring incentives to new employees and they often times end up making as much, if not more, than loyal employees that have been there awhile.
