Not worth your time or sanity

Pros

Befriending a couple of good friends.

Poor management, they don't care about you or your life outside of work. I've worked many overtime hours for them, but when I am ill and have a work note, it's still inexcusable. They play by favoritism, the same lazy people are given easy jobs while the select few hard workers are worked to death. Management didn't pay me my well earned pto hours and failed to send me my "employee appreciation l" gift card. Supervisor so-called wants a team dynamic but the second they see people talking (people whom aren't on their favorites list) they yell at you like you're a little kid in grade school for talking, even if you only said one or two words to your coworker during down time. An employee works 10 hr shifts, gets 3 paid 20 min breaks, wants people to eat and get back to production line, sign in and out on a sign in sheet. Too much micromanagement going on. Some Assistant supervisor tries to act like a boss, and often behaves inappropriately with coworkers--singing vulgar songs and unnecessary touching.

Pros

pay is better than other gas stations, grocery stores, etc, you get a guaranteed 3% raise on your hourly 3 months in if you perform well enough. If you don't mind breaking your back for some relatively good pay, well here it is. I haven't had many issues with my scheduling, but that is store-specific.

Cons

I work for a level 4 store, which means we should have a minimum of 3 overnighters especially Sundays to Fridays, but that's rare. Since the store leaders prefer having more profit than having their workers work proficiently. Doesn't help when 2nd shift gets babied because of all the high schoolers which leaves 30 minutes to an hour of work for 3rd shifters, reducing more of the little time we already have compared to the responsibilities we have. Doesn't help that the entire chain of command enjoys shit-talk and gossip, but that is more store-specific. Training is half-assed at best, they even had me 2 weeks into working overnight training a newbie. It's.... certainly something. And there are still basic things that even people who've been working there for more than 5 years tell me "oh I didn't know that, they never trained me/told me about it." Same can be said about my experience 1 year in.
