Not What It Used To Be

Pros

Benefits, 401K, and other things you would expect from a corporate job. The demographic that Life Time clubs attract are, generally speaking, awesome to work with. There are not many other places that I know of where you can get people to pay $150 per session.

Cons

Shortly after the pandemic, there was a major ideological shift in how new members are put in front of trainers. Corporate essentially removed the incentive for the team members working in the front desk to book new members for an introductory PT session.

Pros

A free membership is great if you use it. The team is big and steps in to cover each other's vacations, etc.

Cons

Yoga classes in a corporate fitness club is a different experience than a private yoga studio. It's not necessarily a con, but it is different.

Yikes

Pros

- Great to work for a company that prioritizes a “Healthy Way Of Life” - Beautiful corporate offices - Complimentary Life Time membership for all employees

Cons

- The company is at the whim of the CEO - Sr management is polluted with “friends” of the CEO, & has an “old boys club” feel - Individual contributors are expected to pivot & alter plans to accommodate poorly-communicated ideas from sr management - Difficult to inspire change when the majority of the corporate office has either been there 10+ years, or <2years - Management is heavy-handed, but struggle to communicate vision, insights, etc, - Very few leaders, mostly managers (people that “lead” vs “manage”)
