Pros

The team atmosphere coupled with simplified training and the job learning, Lifetime Fitness provides employees with a quality environment and access to facilities at zero cost.

Cons

Working as a member service's team member, the responsibilities are endless and lack direction for prioritization. Issues usually arise in the form of receiving phone calls, speaking in person with members, and ensuring that all procedures are properly executed, at the same time.

Pros

The environment is fun, energetic, positive

Cons

You are expected to teach classes for free, offer free nutrition coaching, and split any commissions you do earn with a clients personal trainer - even if they didn't refer them to you. Since the position is 100% commission there is no way to make money. Reality is that you are paid the same as a trainer but I've done nutrition coaching for 10+ years and, I'm sorry, people just DO NOT need or want to come see the dietitian for 12 visits like they do with the trainers. RDs can not make money at this job unless they're in corporate like Cindy, Anika, or Jessica.

Pros

Fun work environment; Beautiful Clubs; Perfect for a first time gig out of school; Drink the Kool-Aid and Lifetime will hire you but don't think of this as a long term gig unless you are ready to be married to your position. Good company for the right person. Be sure to hit your quotas or you will be out.

Cons

Not for those with families; Use this to gain some experience and make a little money before moving onto something else
