A CON of a company

Business Outlook

Pros

Has a great IDEA towards having an impact on America's health crisis. The concept of the "healthy way of life" is well thought out

Cons

Employees are treated like mules and paid meager scraps despite education, experience, or talent. When I was hired I was promised a promotion within two months given my degree, work experience and Lifetime's desire NOT to have me go elsewhere. Since then management has changed hands multiple times and I've been given the run around about "why my promotion can not be put through yet" for a total of 8 1/2 MONTHS!!!! I currently take on the responsibility and work load of a sous chef AND supervisor but I STILL get paid as a team member! This whole company is run by business morrons that only care about the money (though they are missing out on million dollar concepts and follow through) and holding on to manager puppets of mediocre intelligence at best!

Pros

Great community of people. Very friendly employees and free club membership. Part-time employees working 10 or more hours per week are eligible for benefits. Employee discount receiving goods and services inside the club and cafe.

Cons

Pay is low and benefits' value is sub-par.

Pros

The other employees, free membership, 25% discount on all Lifetime products/services. I can bring my kids to work with me in the child center.

Cons

The pay is terrible! If you are promoted in the child center to supervisor, you only make $0.50 more an hour. Really? That's nothing. This company expects the "best people, best places and best programs," but they pay as little as they can. They want us to promote their events and volunteer to help out at the events. There is no incentive to work harder or try to stand out in your department. There is no thanks, no appreciation, no benefit to excel in your job. I only work here to bring in a little extra money for my family. I have little kids and I don't want to pay for daycare.
