      They pay you at the end of every month, not much, but at least they pay something. Ther people are good. Underappreciated but good.

      Cons

      Rubbish people get promoted if their face fits. Clueless management. Favouritism. Image and attitude rated higher than ability. Reliance on poor systems.

      Bureaucratic mindset. Too process oriented for the service industry (although aggressively changing after that). Compensation not up to market. Unplanned and continuous change so dramatic that gives little space to contemplate the big picture at times

      Pros

      I worked on a containership. pay was good. crew was easy to work with and always willing to assist. Senior Management was very approachable.

      Cons

      The supplies were pretty limited, The trip was rather long and the frequent time changes didn't help my failing sleep cycle.
