      Pros

      MSD has monopolized cancer, Which off course, they are very proud of. Narcissism is applauded, be a bad person and you will stay here for a long, long time.

      Cons

      Having to work with lots of fake money grabbers. The environment is toxic and everything is blackwashed - MSD make you feel ashamed to be British. Leadership is weak/ultra political. Nepotism is rife and brown nosing HR is the only way to get ahead in this hell hole. If you have integrity leave (ASAP)!

      Large company with overall very good benefits and stability

      Cons

      Life at Merck depends all on line manager and group. Overall, it has dramatically declined within a short time. Pembrolizumab is approaching the end of its life cycle and no real successor molecule is in sight, so the pressure is increasing. Merck has also become excessively woke, with promotions being largely driven by DEI and qualification no longer seems to matter.
