Business Outlook
Pros
Well established company with a great reputation. You can be proud working for Marriott. Many folks who leave because the “grass is greener” come back. Work-life balance is good. Hard work is encouraged but so is taking time for yourself. Can easily make a career here once you get your foot in the door.
Cons
Salaries throughout the company could be more competitive. Must have political skills to progress. Expect the same beaucracy that would be expected at any large public firm. It can take years to create new positions for advancement or for someone to move on. Senior management could be firmer to push for change. The company is slow to change anything. Communication between departments could be improved.
