Pros

1. Job Flexibility - Set you own hours. 2. Pay - Competitive salary 3. Benefits - Competitive benefits package.

Cons

1. Tools - Internal tools for getting work done just plain suck. 2. Leadership - Week-to-week leadership is vague at best. Decent long-term and "big picture" leadership though. 3. Office space - While MSFT has more office space than most companies, people are often crammed into offices (2, 3, 4, and more is not uncommon).

Great job, bad location.

Pros

Microsoft offers comprehensive training right from the start, so it is a great place to hone your knowledge and skills of not only Microsoft products, but of the dominant products in the industry. Microsoft Unified Communications software is excellent for employee to employee communications, and internal efficiency.

Cons

Microsoft has yet to invest fully into China, so you are still working in a developing country. The office environment was bland, and Chinese regulations can be tough when it comes to heating and cooling. You boil in the summer, and freeze in the winter.
