Pros

If you are a sports junkie, you will love it. And the management at the top does message to do the "right thing". Beautiful campus and there is a prestige in working there. Overall, people are very nice.

Cons

Once you get in the door at Nike, it is about who you know, not what you know. There are huge pockets of mediocrity, which is due to the practice of hiring through networking vs. actual skill set. Also, with the practice of many people moving to a new job every 18 months to two years, many problems are not ever solved or are solved poorly, since people aren't in positions long enough to resolve and/or live with the results of their decisions. Also, due to the group consensus mentality, decisions can take a long time to make because people are not willing to take a risk

Pros

A dream place to work if you are an athlete. Cool people. Cool environment. Awesome products. Passion. You get to see the ahtletes in person. You get to test their new products. You get to work in an environment that matches your lifestyle. People are nice. Anyone will take the time to meet with you, no matter how high up they are. Lots of opportunity, but you must play your cards extremely carefully. Challenging products, a lot of oppurtuniy to really be creative. Amazing passion and stories a lot of employees bring to the table. An athlete's dream work place.

Cons

Benefits are not particularly strong. Outside of corporate HQ not sure how great the work environment is. I don't have that much bad to say. A college athlete will move up the chain 20x faster then somebody who is passion but not pro/semi pro in sports. Some cliques. It's only 5000+ people but its starting to feel like a bigger company. Sometimes pride runs to deep and stifles innovation. If you aren't an athlete or passionate about sports or health you will probably not move far or succeed in the compan. But that applies anywhere really. That's about it. .

Pros

Innovation, creativity, a willingness to try new things and stretch themselves to meet a goal or to be inventive. A very competitive environment but also very focused on teamwork. People get very focused and want to succeed. Lots of communication and connecting. Pretty good work/life balance most of the time. Working out and outdoor time are encouraged with great facilities.

Cons

Very competitive environment can be draining. Can be over intense at times. At times can be very much about "who you know" in order to get ahead... but not that bad. "A" type personalities abound which can be a good and a bad thing depending on your point of view. Pay is "just OK." Other companies pay a little more. Nike's stated goal is to be in the middle of the pack on pay. Pay scales and when you get raises, etc... is overly secretive.
