Pros

Small paycheck. Pay is at the very low end of market range. Unless you are lucky enough to be part of the group where you get paid a lot of money for very little work, time, and effort.

Cons

Management very insulated from staff. Employees have no say. Closed door decision making, no transparency, and a dislike for anyone who questions decisions. Same people, same management, no new ideas. No training. No advancement. NO PAY INCREASES. Management doesn't care enough to show any kind of respect or appreciation for their employees. No self-respecting person should work here. CEO has not improved company's position and is an accidental CEO. Company's ideas are several years behind. Failure is success. Its a company managed by idiots working on idiotic projects for idiotic reasons.

Pros

Can’t think of any, but if you are German you get 30 days of paid vacation days, and 2 months of Paid Time Off (PTO) if you are not, you are screwed.

Cons

Having worked for Nero for the past two years, I would say that the last four reviews are fabricated and untrue. Nero is known for having their employees go to various social media sites and artificially inflate the 5-stars or positive reviews. Nero management did this in November 2013 via email where they "strongly encouraged" employees to vote-up their flagship product Nero BackItUp 2014 to try to get this product closer to the top of certain specific websites. It is true that one goes far if they play the political game or can "kiss ass" enough to be allowed in to the inner circle. They do not promote based on honesty, dedication, commitment, hard work, or effort. They do promote based on how much of a "yes person" you are. The work hours are OK but you have to fight to keep it to 8 or 9 hours a day; they always want more and hold it against you for following federal and state labor laws. Growth and development at Nero is very limited. There is no training and no plan to get training or improve their employees skills. Management and most other employees merely superficially care about their co-workers or team. Those who work here are young, inexperienced, and naive.
