      The mission is fun and most engineers are quite nice.

      Cons

      The engineering leadership is a bit weak - technical decisions get made and reversed often, and it seems like the middle manager engineers and product managers are just trying to look good to leadership.

      The work culture is fun and fast-paced. Living an active lifestyle is highly encouraged, and work-life balance for families with children are supported by managers and company leaders.

      Cons

      Niantic falls short on gender and racial diversity. It is predominantly male with few women in managerial and leadership positions. Despite generous funding support to diverse communities and outreach/awareness programs, black and hispanic hires are disproportionately low.
