1. For an artist, projects are mind numbing. 2. A company wide, false sense of importance. 3. False sense of diversity (company doesn't value diverse thinking). 4. Copious amounts of work and time wasted. 5. Artists are not given the same respect that engineers are. 6. Upper mgmt is dishonest and withholds information. 7. Pros

Now don't get me wrong, Niantic is a lovely place to meet some of the brightest and best in the industry! Everyone is super nice, welcoming, and always wanting to help out - even if they're not on your project! Some of the benefits include monthly exercise-related expenses being covered, monthly internet being covered, and plenty of options to take days off (sick, vacation, mental health, etc.) You will have no trouble making lifelong friends and learning a thing or two from industry pros or from completely other fields alike! And if this is your first industry gig, it's a great foothold to get to the next thing!

Cons

You also might be assigned time-wasting tasks for the sake of making "progress" which isn't fun. Your time is valuable and you shouldn't be working here as a cog in the wheel. Get used to working in the middle of a freeway offramp, freeway on-ramp, a one-way street to get around the office, and lack of office space and parking.
