Pros

Outside sales and flexibility, Great salary $60k -$75k range for BDM's. Mileage reimbursement, work phone, work laptop, leads provided, close small teams to work with.

Cons

Leads were 1 - 1.5 hours away from home. We weren't allowed to work outside of out clusters (territory), unless you received a referral. Leads were passed around to 4-8 different reps, aggravated hotel owners and front desk. Mass hire, which lead to a company wide layoff, internationally and nationally, 2 weeks severance, no notice. If you were the first group of hires you were able to choose your own leads, if you were in the last group you got the short end of the stick and received leads that were passed around and spread out around LA and outside of the county. Very difficult to close a sale. Business model was always changing.

Entire company is a scam

Pros

They overpay peoples for the sixty days or less that they will get to work there.

Cons

Everything else. You are selling a fraudulent product and working for pathological liars. They recruit people away from good jobs, telling them all about how wonderful OYO is and all the opportunity. Then you get into the role and find out that all of your potential customers know that your company’s entire strategy is just lowering prices until the hotel’s rates are low enough to increase occupancy by attracting hookers and drug dealers. And then you get “laid off” less than a month into your job, along with 361 other coworkers. DO NOT WORK HERE. They rolled out a new strategy, and then changed it three times
