      Not all that glitters.......

      Pros

      Okta exists in a in demand and upcoming field. Agile R&D. Big name customers. Seems very attractive on the outside.

      Cons

      Almost no work life balance. Too many changes in management. I have had 4 bosses year to date. Mid level managers are clueless about how to run a professional services organization. Overall lack of support, training, and decent management for field based employees. Way too focused on the IPO and not focused enough on the basics. Does not value employees! Do not believe the hype. Management never responded to emails or escalations. Too many benefits for San Francisco employees vs field based employees.

      the money the money the money the shares the money.. pre ipo, everyone thinking of their gians

      Cons

      some people. only 3 but nasty. they sit there observing, making notes and spying on you, reporting back to HQ. others are just aggressive - shouting in your face, trying to intimidate you - they are so small and ignorant, will never learn and have nothing of merit to say. how did they even get employed? if you believe all the + reports, ask why there are no negative ones - if you believe in these then u must also believe in fairies.

      Pros

      Okta isn't easy. It's a place for proven professionals and innovators who want to be challenged. You have to be hungry to be here. The folks who come on Glassdoor and complain about management (instead of having a meaningful dialog with their managers), complain about the stress, the fact that they have to walk a half mile to the BART, or whine about the free food weren't cut out for the type of advanced employee-ownership that successful start-ups like Okta demand. They weren't right for Okta -- some of them have left, and that's a good thing. Not everyone makes the cut for the Navy SEALS either. If you're hungry and want to be a champion, then we want you!

      Cons

      We need to keep our eyes on the ball and don't let the drama of a few who don't have the intestinal fortitude to hack it here distract us.
