Pros

Great atmosphere (employee involved setting), Plenty of opportunities.

Cons

Terrible training, you are treated as a number and not a human. Local Management is terrible and needs training on dealing with employees. They have a point system that does not give you a work/home balance life. They will put you a CAP (corrective action plan) for almost anything. You can be on a few plans all at one time. HR is useless and provide no assistance for the employees. The Appraisals are rigged. You can get a 3 meaning you are doing your job or even a 4 (the highest you can get is a 5) and you will still not receive a raise. The create targets for phone agents to hit and the targets are almost impossible to hit and that is done purposely so that they limit how many times they pay out for a Bonus.

Pros

Salary was excellent. Benefits were okay; nothing outstanding. Some seriously good people.

Cons

Fear... constant fear. Matrixed. More like infinitely convoluted. Getting anything done requires getting 40 department involved - without ever telling you what department does what or whom to contact. Trickle down blame. Management overly concerned with how things look for "them". Restricted advancement. Unrealistic expectations of control over external forces; what an employee was able to control. Managers publicly verbally flogging employees during group meetings. Tossing folks under a bus was a common theme.
