Pros
You potentially have the opportunity to make good money. Usually, on weekends, i can walk out with $120 easy after tip share. Also, we don't open very early so it makes it easy for a social life on weekends. We are also allowed to eat on the clock.
Cons
I said you CAN break 100 on weekends, but it doesn't always happen. You typically only get 2 table sections on weekends, so if you have a table sit there too long during the rush, you're screwed unless the table's tips makes up for the three tables you've missed. Also, some of the clientele at my location is pure trash and it makes closing not worth it because late at night, that's who comes in and they do not tip well, which brings me to a big pain: Tip share is high, and it is frustrating to pay out to our incompetent hostesses and bussers, when half the time i end up doing their job myself because they're busy texting. Also, now that we're open for lunch, if you come in around lunch, expect to be there til at least 1030pm without a break.
