Fantastic place to work. Great work culture

Pros

Playstudios has one of the best work cultures I've worked at. The people are extremely friendly and accepting. Company goes all out to give the employees a good time. Regular social events keeps the moral high. There are dogs everywhere.

Cons

The work at Playstudios is mediocre, and the pay is a slap in the face. Employees are constantly uninformed about future goals. Constant confusion about roles and responsibilities. Lack of proper game designers. The CEO involves himself into projects which prevents managers and upper management from fully performing their job. He does not trust the process nor the team. Projects are shelved due to lack of clear goals.

The Company

Pros

Had met with some very talented people and friendly crowd in the office. Flexible hours. Good technology stacks. Outing activity is great. You can bring dogs to work. Free lunch for Wed and Thur. Excellent office manager.

Cons

Company was great at the first few years. There is very little room to grow in products and thus also as an individual at the company. There are tremendous structural changes. CEO is determined to put everything under his control. So all the other cofounders are gone and so of every level of the organization is washed out. It is not a very stable working environment.

Horrible Management Toxic Company

Pros

Dog friendly office. Work life balance is ok

Cons

- Senior management never takes any responsibilities for their bad decisions. CEO is a former hotel guy who is incapable of running a gaming company. - The company makes decisions purely based on politics and not performance. Recently they fired almost half the people in the bay area office, despite the app performing really well, and decided to give it to another office that has a history of failing time and time again. - The turnover rate is unusually high. They fire so many employees regardless of performance. There has been 2 mass layoffs in the past 12 months alone. - Pay is low and extremely hard to get a pay raise. Yet they make you do a self appraisal every 4 months.
