      A lot better than average

      Pros

      Still a huge growth engine, with a lot of potential. Despite a lot of product stupidity, development proceeds at a pretty good pace. It's still a technology-driven org, despite attempts by Marketing and Biz Dev to take over responsibility.

      Cons

      Weekend and after-hours work is the norm. Product is still way too buggy and no one really takes accountability for fixing it. Stupid focus on "time to market" and bogus "competitors" leads to some silly decisions about what developers should work on.

      Great company for work-life balance

      Pros

      Very impressed with the attention to work-life balance, flexibility, ability to work from home. My manager is very attuned to employee needs, honest with feedback, manages the department fairly.

      Cons

      eBay is dragging the company down, hurting its reputation. Projects can be very slow to get implemented, and even small fixes to the site can take forever. Needs to be a way to be more nimble. Contractors being let go because one division hired too many people. HOw did that go undetected by top management?

      Pros

      Nice San Jose campus with tennis courts, good cafeteria and gym. Good location, easy access to highway. Commute assistance. Koi pond.

      Cons

      Silos, politics, power struggles. Poor communications between Eng and support orgs. Customers are nickel-and-dimed, and lied to. Brain-dead UI with no insight into customer end-to-end experience. Omaha support center is a sweatshop that gets lip service from the execs but is treated as an place to clean up problems, not contribute to product improvement. Definitely 2nd class citizens.
