Wonderful Company

Pros

Everyone cares about books, the company mission, and each other. Colleagues are absolutely wonderful.

Cons

The pay is terrible. No room for advancement. The merger is ongoing, so downsizing is unfortunately still happening in little spurts.

Cliquey & exhausting

Pros

Honestly the only pros to working for this company are the benefits & the amount of time off you get.

Cons

Everyone is extremely cliquey, poor training practices, the office is old, run down & out dated (employees work still work on desktops for pete's sake). Most managers are great, but I naturally got the one who didn't ever know what was going on or what she was doing. There really were no advancement opportunities.

Pros

Great colleagues, nice benefits, and lots of time off. This is a company that loves books.

Cons

Terrible pay, difficult to maintain work-life balance, hard to advance--it's a waiting game.
