Pros

-Great for getting your foot in the door of the games industry -Gain a lot of experience across projects and possibly departments, valuable intial learning opportunity. Helps you jump to other companies after a few years -You get your name in the credits of major titles and has some additional perks like free PS Plus and games. -Many seniors are very approachable and love to answer questions. It's a cool experience to gain so much insight

Cons

-they are looking for scale, not individual talent or skill. Your growth matters little to them and most are treated as expendable. Most people are kept as contractors for years longer than they should be. If you have a problem, then leave and they will quickly replace you -the pay is on the low end of the spectrum -HR and Upper management is a joke when it comes to complaints about poor management or harassment. The people who have stayed the longest are basically on tenure and are untouchable.

We are sorry you didn't enjoy your experience here. We are committed to providing a diverse and equitable environment where all have a chance to thrive and grow. Because our people do tend to stay with us for a long time, depending on your role, it can be more of a challenge to move up. Last, we do take claims of harassment very seriously and have an open-door policy for all employees with no fear of retaliation.

Pros

The brand is solid Occasional thoughtfulness

Cons

Men are paid more than women for the same and similar roles Leave of absences are not protected like they should be legally Office politics Actively hostile to remote working compared to in person or hybrid Slow response time of team members, which signals this company tolerating poor performance and understaffing HR team is incredibly slow to respond - the worst response time out of anywhere I’ve worked Big egos at the VP level Unclear ownership Very top down

Pros

- Free games every week - Competitive salary - Homeworking - Growth and progression opportunities for lower levels due to high churn - Results/shareholder driven business

Cons

- Global company means early starts and late finishes - Office presence isn't mandatory but has led to absence of a friendly, caring culture - 'Take a time out during the day', but leadership hold UK meetings at lunch. - 'Take a time out during the day', when my kids and partner, friends are at school or working - Cronyism - Pockets of aggressive, borderline bullying, culture and regime. Patronising senior directors
