Fun workplace. Lively atmosphere. Nice freebies. Good employee discounts. Good bonus. The place does have some Japan management style. However it does not hamper your work culture.

Cons

The overall compensation offered at sony computer entertainment america is not commensurate with what is industry standard. Would ask for better package before joining.

Friendly and professional. Mostly experienced and knowledgeable staff. On the whole, far more positives than negatives. Still trying to get that elusive work/life balance right.

Cons

Still lots of hangovers from the Psygnosis days. Some reticence to change. Sony are generally reluctant to try something radical and new.

Pros

Relaxed, fun atmosphere makes working hard satisfying and enjoyable. Small company, so opportunity to take on a spectrum of responsibility doing interesting work and interacting with many different facets of the business. Lots of employees who have been with the co. from the beginning, so fantastic opportunities to learn from veterans.

Cons

Certain support functions within the company are crippled by dangerously incompetent management.
