- There really is a divide between employees. It's almost as if there is a "popular" group and if you are not part of that, you won't be included in special events, may not be promoted, etc. At times there is less focus on your quality of work and more focus on your socialization within the company. Certain employees are given more leniency than others.
- Upper management really is clueless. They do not seem to make the best decisions or have the company's best interests at heart. Nor are they able to even stick to their own decisions. It's exhausting trying to keep up, especially if it directly affects your job/department.
- Because the culture and operations are so poorly managed, a lot of the really valuable and intelligent employees are either let go or leave on their own. The pool of high quality employees at Playboy is really small. Employees with few years of experience think they are experts when they are not.
- The amazing HR staff is no longer there so the company culture has changed.
- The whole time I was an employee I worried if I would be fired because I am not as social as most and/or if the company would go under due to lack of revenue. I did not want to leave Playboy because I loved it for the most part and I LOVED my department, but after a while, you get tired of being undervalued and/or paranoid because you have no idea what direction the company is going toward.
- Having Playboy on my resume may have actually hindered me from receiving job offers.
