Pros

Standard benefits, great staff, great technology in the news, all the benefits of a huge company. Lots of learning in the online catalogue. Work hard and you can write your own ticket.

Cons

Technology doesn't work together. If an rvp has it out for you look out. There are really no back channels for support. It all comes back to the same person.

Pros

Relatively decent pay compared to other banks Good upward mobility within the branch network Management will pay for courses if you are seeking designations for future roles (mainly through CSI)

Cons

Your opinion does not matter. At all. Seriously. Do not even try to enact any type of change or criticize things the bank is doing. You will only be considered a negative person. The mindset from management is that everything the bank does is wonderful and you must comply. Very difficult to transition to another department within the bank. I.e. going to the branch to asset management or capital markets. Goals are unattainable for most employees. Overly focused on some aspects of the role (referrals, finding outside business) and less focused on other aspects (being a good person, giving good advice, client first attitude, being knowledgeable)
